A Brooklyn-based writer who infiltrated a pro-Confederacy Facebook group hilariously changed the page’s theme when he discovered that the admins left some of the settings open.
According to Slate, after gaining admin status in the Facebook group, Virgil Texas then “surreptitiously changed its header picture a few times as a ruse before convincing the group’s administrators to give him the authority to change all its settings in order to ‘clean out all the trolls’ who had been changing the header.”
He then changed the name of the group to “LGBT Southerners for Michelle Obama and Judaism.”

Naturally, members of the pro-South group were slightly annoyed. Virgil was ultimately kicked out of the group, but not before he added about 50 other pranksters who were conducting hijinks as administrators in the comment threads.
This image posted by Virgil also wasn’t too popular with the group’s members:
When the admins got back control of the group, they were still having problems reverting it back to its original state.
