During a recent appearance on Steve Bannon’s War Room Pandemic show, Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said that the people arrested for storming the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 are being persecuted much like the Nazis persecuted the Jews in the run-up to World War II.
“…you’re not a domestic terrorist if you went to the Capitol on January 6 supporting President Trump and caring about election integrity and not wanting to see fraud in our election system,” she said. “That doesn’t make you a domestic terrorist.”
“What happened on January 6 was a riot, and it needs to be treated as so,” she continued. “These people have been locked up, held in solitary confinement, and now the FBI and the Department of Justice is hunting Americans all over the country.”
Greene went on to say that sooner or later, people “are going to be fed up with the intimidation.”
“We’ve seen it before in our history books — we’ve seen it before with the Brownshirts, we’ve seen it before with the Gestapo, we’ve seen it before in countries like Russia, we’re seeing it now in China…”
