Marjorie Taylor Greene grilled on her thoughts when rioters entered the Capitol: ‘I thought Antifa or BLM was breaking in’

While testifying at a hearing where challengers are seeking her disqualification as a candidate for reelection, Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene was asked about her perception of the moments when rioters began to breach the Capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021.

“When you were notified that people had entered the Capitol illegally, did you also understand at that point that there had been violence at the Capitol?” attorney Andy Celli asked her.

“I only knew what I was told,” Greene replied.

“I heard a gunshot — we all heard it, and we were so confused we thought Antifa was breaking in, or BLM, because of — those were the riots that had gone on and on all throughout 2020 day in and day out,” she continued. “Just horrible riots all over the country and that was the only thing that made sense to most of us.”
