Marjorie Taylor Greene suggests Highland Park shooting was a false flag: ‘Why didn’t it happen at a Pride parade?’

In a video posted to her social media channels, Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene suggested that shootings that took place on July 4 were false flag operations designed to boost the push for more gun control legislation.

“Two shootings on July 4: One in a rich white neighborhood and the other at a fireworks display,” Greene said on Tuesday’s episode of her show MTG:Live. “It almost sounds like it’s designed to persuade Republicans to go along with more gun control.”

Greene wondered why the shootings took place during “MAGA month” when there weren’t widespread shootings during June, which is Pride month. In regards to the Highland Park shooting, Greene posted a photoshopped photo of gunman Robert Crimo III holding a Bible inside a jail cell. She has blamed Crimo’s actions on drug use and demanded that all of his personal records be released to the public, claiming the removal of his social media pages were being part of an effort to “hide the truth” about the incident.

As Newsweek points out, Greene isn’t a stranger to indulging in conspiracy theories. She once suggested that the 9/11 terror attacks were “done by our own government.” She also reportedly claimed that none of the school shootings in the past were “real or done by the ones who were supposedly arrested for them.”
