Nick Fuentes: ‘I love Hitler in a Christian way — not in a gay way’

Nick Fuentes, a far-right political commentator, was banned from Twitter this Wednesday just 24 hours after he was reinstated on the platform after he posted tweets that violated the platform’s rules against hate speech.

Fuentes shared a gif that showed a Kanye West “Ye 2024” logo morph into the message “DEFCON 3” — a reference to one of the rapper’s tweets vowing to go “death con 3 on Jewish people.” He then hosted a Twitter Spaces live chat in which he defended West’s antisemitic statements and praised Hitler.

“At the end of the day, I’m somebody who, in a functioning society, would be rewarded for being a genius,” he declared in a recent livestream. “Not f***ing attacked all the time and mediocrities rushing to call me names. … I’m a free thinker and I’m a funny guy who brings joy to millions and inspires the youth, and in any sane society a guy like me would be recruited to be a part of the solution.”

Later in the livestream, Fuentes clarified that his love for Hitler isn’t gay.

“We love Hitler, not in a f***ing gay way, okay? We love Hitler in a Christian way, you freak, not in a gay way,” he said. “Any way — in like an awesome way, okay? In like a ‘we love Trump’ way you f***ing liberal.”
