RFK Jr’s siblings release joint statement: ‘Our brother is dangerous to our country’

In a statement signed by four of his siblings, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.‘s family members are going out of their way to distance themselves from him.

“The decision of our brother Bobby to run as a third-party candidate against Joe Biden is dangerous to our country,” read the statement signed by former Maryland Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend (D), former Rep. Joseph Kennedy II (D-MA), Rory Kennedy and Kerry Kennedy.

“Bobby might share the same name as our father, but he does not share the same values, vision or judgment. Today’s announcement is deeply saddening for us. We denounce his candidacy and believe it to be perilous for our country,” the statement added.

On Monday, RFK Jr. announced he was abandoning his Democratic Party bid and will instead run as an Independent. He has a history of aligning himself with the anti-vaccine movement.
