Suspect robs Arizona toy store at gunpoint as terrified children look on

Police are still searching for an armed man who was caught on security video robbing a toy store in Arizona while children were present, according to reports.

The video shows the suspect enter Teddy Bears El Paraiso in Mesa on April 16 and stand at the back of the store for about 40 seconds before he approaches the counter, pointing a handgun at an employee before ordering a group of adults and children to stand in another corner of the store.

“When he pointed the gun at me, I knew he would shoot me if I didn’t give him what he wanted,” the store’s manager, Eliseo Francisco, told AZFamily. “At that moment, I prayed to God to help me because it was life or death.”

As the suspect was collecting checks and cash, another customer unwittingly walks into the store, prompting the suspect to order them into the corner as well.
