Activists troll Trump with projected image of USS John McCain on London landmark

The progressive activist group Led by Donkeys are continuing their troll job of President Trump as he visits the UK this week. This time, they projected a reference to one of his most hated political opponents, the now-deceased Arizona Senator John McCain.

A tweet shared by the anti-Brexit group shows the image of a hat featuring the USS John McCain being projected onto the Madame Tussauds wax  museum in London.

“Hey @realDonaldTrump, we read the story about the sailors on a US warship being ordered to hide from you because you’re triggered by the name on their hats,” the tweet read. “So we turned Madame Tussaud’s into a giant USS John McCain baseball cap. Welcome to London!”

This Saturday, the US Navy acknowledged that it received a request from the White House to shield Trump from having to see the warship bearing the late Senator’s name during his visit to Japan last week.

“A request was made to the U.S. Navy to minimize the visibility of USS John S. McCain, however, all ships remained in their normal configuration during the President’s visit,” according to a statement from Rear Adm. Charlie Brown, Chief of Navy Information.

Trump and McCain clashed frequently during McCain’s time in Congress. Trump has continued to denigrate McCain a year after his death.

Led by Donkeys also pulled a stunt where they projected Trump’s UK poll numbers compared to Obama’s on the Tower of London. The image showed Obama’s approval ratings at 72%, while Trump’s were 21%.
