Jeb Bush can’t explain why Hillary is to blame for Benghazi but 9/11 wasn’t his brother’s fault

Jeb Bush had a rough time on CNN this Sunday when asked by host Jake Tapper how he can say Hillary Clinton is responsible for the Benghazi terror attacks while absolving his brother of any responsibility for 9/11.

“My brother responded to a crisis and united the country, he organized our country and he kept us safe, and there’s no denying that,” Jeb said. And the great majority of Americans believe that. And I don’t know why he keeps bringing this up.”

Tapper then asked if Bush’s loyalty to his brother “might be in some ways a political or policy liability blinding you to mistakes he made.”

“It’s what you do after that matters,” Jen replied. “Does anybody actually blame my brother for the attacks on 9/11? If they do, they’re totally marginalized in our society. It’s what he did afterwards that mattered, and I’m proud of him. And so are a bunch of other people.”

“Obviously al Qaeda was responsible for the terrorist attacks of 9/11,” Tapper acknowledged. “But how do you respond to critics who ask if your brother and his administration bear no responsibility at all, how do you then make the jump that President Obama and Secretary Clinton are responsible for what happened at Benghazi?”

Clearly caught off guard, Jeb stammered out a response.

“Well, I — the question on Benghazi, which we will now finally get the truth to, is was the place secure? They had a responsibility at the Department of State to have proper security,” he said.

In fact many of us do, JEB! JEB! keeps pointing out how Dubya “responded” to the crisis, which is an extraordinarily lame attempt to skip over the part about allowing the attacks to occur in the first place. Nobody is fooled, JEB! And nobody is going to vote for you.

Is Bush just a total moron? Evidently Democratic administrations are responsible for the security of all US embassies, including those in very dangerous countries, yet Dubya is not responsible for the security of OUR OWN territory? They asked for greater security in Benghazi? Well, and Bush was warned that a terrorist attack was imminent and he ignored but he had too much brush to clear on his ranch.

And no Jeb a lot of Americans believe George Bush is responsible since your dad was meeting with the BinLaden family the morning of the attack. Ask him about The Carlyle Group!

Aftermath, George suggested we go shopping.
