Reddit discusses who the worst ‘Internet-famous’ people are

On Wednesday, a redditor asked the question: “Who is the worst internet-famous person?”

These are some of the top answers by the Internet’s most savvy users:

1. The Food Babe:

Vani Hari, known as the Food Babe, is amongst the most hated by Reddit. According to one of the top comments:

“She promotes the belief that if you can’t pronounce an ingredient, it’s bad for you,” writes one Redditor. “Like, a grade 8 science level flunkie and is taking revenge on a subject she never tried to understand.”

Food Babe is an influential blogger whose best known for criticizing the food industry. While there is a lot of legitimate ammo for her to choose from, she instead champions strings of pseudoscientific healthy lifestyle buzzwords that have been clumsily strung together. She notably warned her followers that plane air is dangerous because it’s not pure oxygen.

2. Tai Lopez:

Tai Lopez (the “Here in my garaaage, just bought this new Lamborghini” guy) is known for peddling his expensive and ineffective scam self-help program on YouTube, has been practically mocked off of YouTube. He’s largely known as ‘Lamborghini in my garage’ guy, for one of his more ridiculous promotional videos.

Here’s a great mash-up of this weirdo’s greatest hits:

3. Keemstar:

Keemstar is a vlogger known for making a career out of starting drama online. He famously falsely accused a 60-year-old-man of being a jailed pedophile without any evidence. This forced the old man to show his ID online to prove it wasn’t him. After this, Keemstar delivered an apology video during which he took no responsibility for his actions.

Redditor MartijnCvB writes:

A few months ago another ~60 year old man started streaming RuneScape for fun and got a good following quickly. Two weeks ago Keemstar accused the streamer of being the pedo based on that the age was about right, they played the same game and they looked sort of similar. Soon it turned out that the pedo was still in jail and the streamer showed his ID on stream to prove the pedo wasn’t him. Keemstar took down the video and made a new one to “apologize” which he mostly used to blame his team and his actual apology was rather off-handed and insincere.

Many of the Internet’s most famous are awful, and Reddit has something to say about all of them. Take a look at the conversation thread here.
