What now creationists? Look at this amazing photo of a perfectly-preserved 400 million year-old trilobite

At the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History, there is a flawless specimen of Walliserops, a five-inch trilobite that swam in the Devonian seas around what is now Morocco some 150 million years before the first dinosaurs hatched.

With its elongated, triple-tined head horn and a bristle brush of spines encircling its lower body, the trilobite looks like a kid’s toy you could pick up in the museum’s gift shop.

What crapy journalism…even as a liberal minded person I smell the desire to report something to make a statement w/o giving any good info on how experts think a perfect specimen like this was preserved (and not in rock) and where it was found and how.

    Back to school for you!

Oh yeah…it’s the internet, it’s not journalism.

why do people continually try and “one up” each other? see who”s right? who wins? my viewpoint is correct & your’s is wrong. who gives a crap. some of the smartest people come across as the smuggest, most childish people i’ve seen. tell you what – creationists go on believeing what you want and don’t push it on others; evolutionists do the same. play nicely if you have to play together. and enough with the bullshit. how great that would be.

How does this creature in anyway discount creationism? I tell you what evolutionist as soon as you make something from nothing then you let me know & i will listen. Because your own science proves that everything must have a beginning , something cannot come from nothing and you don’t need a science degree to understand that. If you ask the question what was before that or where did that come from long enough you will run into a wall. That wall you run into is the one where there had to be an already existing, wasn’t created being that is the originator of all things. So you’re willing to believe that matter , space , gases , & energy always existed? So you have a problem believing in God but no problem beleiving all that other stuff was and is eternal with no origin of creation? How foolish people are! They deny their own science and common sense so that they can explain God out of anything to relief themselves of any accountability to Him. I challenge any and all people who read this to answer this one simple question : “How can something come from nothing?” – If you can’t then your arguement is void. There had to be an always existing original something with tremendious knowledge and skills to set all of creation in motion irregardless of the age of what was created or what it supposedly evolved into later. — Read this again and really think about it.

Okay. “How can something come from nothing?” Why stop here ? Same applies for God, who created him, it, her? To this last question I suggest following answer: the human. Regarding the world, why do you care so much? It’s here! Enjoy it! But most important do not try to tell other people what and when they should eat, when, how with whom to have sex etc…

@Scott. 150 million years old smacks in the face of the 6,000 year old theory of creationism. Also, if creationists were truly looking for “truth” than creationists would believe that creationism and evolution can coexist. Instead, creationists feel the need to ignore science and rely only on the bible for the answers. You can ignore the big bang theory if you choose but after that, you kind of need science to explain what has happened over the millions of years the earth has been around.

Who created a martian? In order to be a valid question we need the facts that martians exist. If there are no facts of the existence of martians I can not ask that question. Same applies for any god that you believe in.

Why can’t religion and science coexist? I believe in intelligent design, which in no way means I do not believe in evolution. Evolution is a fact of life, but as a person of faith I believe a higher power guides it in some way beyond our understanding. Please don’t confuse people like me with the creationists though, … they are nuts!

How does an old fossil discredit creation…God is the why science is seeing how he did it..after all God’s day is not equal to ours. Gods creation of man through evolution. ..so what’s the problem …Apple’s to oranges people that’s what creationism to evolution is

Something coming from nothing is quite common in the theoretical physics community. It’s popularly called the “quantum jitters” and “vacuum energy”. You should look it up before talking about something you obviously have no clue about.
