Delta plane turns around after passengers refuse to wear masks

A pilot manning a Delta Airlines flight that was leaving Detroit Metro Airport this Thursday turned the plane around and headed back to the gate after two passengers refused to wear masks, WXYZ reports.

According to a Delta spokesperson, the flight was delayed because the passengers “were non-compliant with crew instructions.”

As part of Delta’s coronavirus safety program, all passengers are required to wear a mask at all times, except when they’re eating their meals.

As Michigan Live points out, passengers who try to falsely argue that a medical condition prevents them from wearing a mask will be permanently banned from flying Delta.
