Fox News host: Burning of Christmas tree ‘could be a hate crime against Fox News’

During a segment on Fox & Friends this Thursday, the team discussed the recent burning down of a Christmas tree outside Fox News headquarters in New York and the fact that the crazy homeless guy who lit the fire has already been released from jail thanks to “these new liberal reform laws.”

“Note to judge: he’s a threat to society,” co-host Brian Kilmeade said.

“Well, here’s the thing: in New York under the new liberal policies of bail reform, in our city it’s only a felony — you can only be held if it’s a felony — if a suspect tried to harm a person or commits a hate crime, and apparently lighting a Christmas tree on fire is not a hate crime,” co-host Steve Doocy said.

But Kilmeade wasn’t convinced.

“Who says it’s not a hate crime against us, against Fox News?” Kilmeade said.

Doocy seemed a little confused by Kilmeade’s comment.

“Uh, here’s the thing — what we do know for sure — we don’t know the guy’s motivation…” he said.
