Josh Duggar slapped with over 12-years in prison for child pornography possession

This Wednesday, former reality TV star Josh Duggar was sentenced to over 12 years in prison after he was convicted in December of charges related to possession of child pornography, KNWA reports.

Duggar’s sentencing hearing took place in the Western District of Arkansas Federal Court in Fayetteville, and he was sentenced to a total of 151 months.

Duggar was arrested in April of last year at the car dealership he was employed at, where federal agents seized multiple electronic devices and other pieces of evidence. One video found in Duggar’s possession was described by Special Agent Gerald Faulkner as being “in the top five of the worst of the worst that I’ve ever had to examine.”

Duggar was charged in December with two counts of knowingly receiving and possessing child pornography, one of which was dropped today without prejudice at his hearing. According to reports, Josh’s father, Jim Bob, and Josh’s wife, Anna, sat in the front row as the sentence was handed down. Josh’s sister Joy-Anna (Duggar) Forsyth and brother Jason Duggar were also In attendance.

Josh’s legal team says that he still maintains his innocence and plans to appeal.
