Ricky Martin cancels charity event with Trump: ‘Your heart is filled with hate and ignorance’

Martin has decided to pull his annual charity golf tournament from Trump’s International Golf Club Rio Grande in Puerto Rico. Martin also slammed Trump on Twitter, saying his heart is filled with “hate and ignorance.”

As the fallout from his remarks about Mexican immigrants continues, Donald Trump has now lost the business of Latin music icon Ricky Martin.

According to a report from Cosmopolitan, Martin has decided to pull his annual charity golf tournament from Trump’s International Golf Club Rio Grande in Puerto Rico. Martin also slammed Trump on Twitter, saying his heart is filled with “hate and ignorance.”

Trump made the remarks while announcing his campaign for the GOP’s 2016 presidential nomination, saying Mexico is “not sending the best” when it comes to people coming across the border.

“They’re not sending you, they’re sending people that have lots of problems and they’re bringing those problems. They’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime,” Trump said. “They’re rapists and some, I assume, are good people, but I speak to border guards and they’re telling us what we’re getting.”
