Woman who coughed on Uber driver says she’ll only use Lyft now — Lyft says nope

A woman who assaulted and coughed on an Uber driver is taking to Instagram and giving her side of the story.

The woman, who DeadState traced to the Instagram account @keepinupwforeign, posted a rambling story justifying her actions and accusing the driver, Subhakar Khadka, of trying to kick her out of the car “on the freeway” after she refused to put on a mask.

Later in the video, the woman says she plans to sue Uber and is now solely a Lyft customer.

The woman’s video was shared by someone else on Twitter and immediately went viral, attracting the attention of Lyft’s official Twitter account.

“Although this incident did not involve the Lyft platform, the unacceptable treatment of the driver in this video compelled us to permanently remove the rider from the Lyft community,” Lyft’s tweet read. “Driving in a pandemic is not easy. Please wear a mask, respect one another, and be a good person.”

A GoFundMe has been set up for Khadka and has raised just over $25,000 as of this writing.
