As he was giving a speech at a church in Flint, Michigan this Wednesday, Donald Trump was interrupted by a church pastor when he ventured into an attack on his opponent Hillary Clinton.
“Hillary failed on the economy, just like she’s failed on foreign policy, everything she touched didn’t work out — nothing. Now Hillary Clinton…” Trump said before he was interrupted.
“Mr. Trump I invited you here to thank us for what we’ve done in Flint, not to give a political speech,” Rev. Faith Green Timmons said as she approached Trump.
“Oh, oh oh ok,” Trump replied.
“That’s good – and I’m going to go back on to Flint,” Trump added apologetically.
Trump was touring the city of Flint, which has been plagued by lead-contaminated drinking water.
From POLITICO:
Trump’s roughly 20-minute visit to the church was organized by Armstrong Williams, a former aide to Ben Carson, a retired neurosurgeon and former Republican presidential candidate who now serves as a Trump surrogate.
Trump was speaking at Bethel United Methodist Church, a historically African American house of worship.
