According to various media outlets, Ted Cruz is ending his presidential campaign tonight.
The Texas Tribune is reporting that the GOP presidential candidate is hanging it up after a “devastating loss” in the Indiana primary, with Donald Trump pocketing the win.
With about 43 percent of the vote in, Trump was projected to beat Cruz by about 2o points, 54 percent to 35 percent. Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who had struck a deal with Cruz to effectively concede the Hoosier State, was winning less than 10 percent of the vote.

Cruz focused hard on Indiana, since it was crucial in holding Trump under the 1,237-delegate threshold. He is expected to make a statement later tonight.
