Actor and film director Ron Howard spoke out on the reaction to Meryl Streep‘s speech condemning Donald Trump at the Golden Globes this Sunday.
Howard praised Streep for her willingness to speak out and addressed comments from Trump supporters characterizing her as an “overrated” member of the Hollywood elite.

Howard pointed out how Trump supporters who lament the “mainstream media’s lies” conveniently forget that the president-elect spent years promoting fraudulent conspiracy theories about Barack Obama‘s birth certificate.
