An 18-year-old college student who is now a former Donald Trump supporter, said he went from an avid backer of the GOP nominee to a disillusioned voter after he was ejected from a Trump rally after allegedly being profiled because of the color of his skin.
According to The Charlotte Observer, Jake Anantha is a registered Republican who planned to cast his first-ever vote for Trump. He was even wearing a Trump T-shirt when police removed him from the Charlotte Convention Center before a rally was set to begin, all due to the color of his skin Jake says.
“It’s unbelievably ironic,” Jake’s father, Ramesh Anantha said. He contends that his son “should have been looked at as a perfect Trump supporter. He should have been somebody they’re putting up on stage.”
In a statement this Friday morning from Trump’s N.C. communications director Kirk Bell, event security is claiming that Jake has been removed from prior events for disruption.
“My statement is as follows,” Bell said. “We were informed last night that security identified those individuals asked to leave as individuals who have been removed from previous events.”
Jake denies the accusations.
The other person ejected was 18-year-old Jake Anantha, who told us on camera that he is a passionate Trump supporter.

“When I saw [Trump] on TV, I personally didn’t mind his rhetoric,” Jake said. “I defended him. When people called him a racist, I said he’s a critic of our flawed immigration system. He’s strong on Islamic terrorism.”
According to the Charlotte Observer, after being ejected, Jake said he stood outside the convention center and watched a stream of white people enter.
“I thought [Trump] was for all people. I don’t believe he is for all people anymore. Why are all these white people allowed to attend and I’m not?”
